With the easy access to a host of memory card options on offer ( SD, Micro SD etc) there is no real reason other than out and out greed and profiteering to go out of ones way and produce a console specific card. So another shameful act on Sony’s part.
Also with the availability of internal memory nowadays why restrict Saves to an external memory card in the first place.
I for one pledge never to buy the PS Vita when it comes out, if I ever to turn from this stance it may be at a push through a pre-owned option so as to not allow Sony to profit directly.

i wont believe anything about this unit till i see this with my own eyes, i realised that there is alot of mislead customers or people with the wrong perception of this product since sony hasnt addressed everything yet,hence so many negative comments.

no battery swap,no micro sd card slot,read or write only via vita,no internal flash memory or for firmware only, music restrictions?,no browsing while games are running not even for a walk through,tv out,card format

Never bought any psp for those nice sharp edge graphics never charmed me. With a mobile phone war on in advancements no doubt phones will surpass this by next year. A quad core galaxy s4 is on the horizon lol

Another reason given was that it was an anti-piracy move

It sounds more like: "if it will support piracy we want our part of it so that is why we make it that expensive"...
$ony has been taken over completely by the TB team because they have the same mentality (making money on piracy)?

And a nice digital pad + Dual Analog... So none needs to restrict themselves to play only "touch game", where your fingers are always closing some section of the screen, or makes platform games crap...

Who would want a 4GB card anyway? If you really only needed 4GB, then it would have internal memory. Heck, if you only needed 16GB it would have internal memory.

And nobody programming games for it because who'd want to program a full fledged game for android.

Oh and the missing controls.

I honestly doubt that it'll take much longer than 3 or 4 months after release to get a micro SD adapter.

Just think back Nintendo DS....Ohh we need our gameboy like cardslots. Well let's m4 that motherplucker.
