I don't think you got the idea.

The point was if i a E3 flasher would work on a ps3 if it was used with e3_downgrade.bin before on another PS3 console.

One last thing, it is a must to update to 4.0 firmware before downgrading, or it is optional?

it isn't a must to update to 4.0 you can also use firmware 3.70, 3.71, 3.72!

i think what he means is that he has previously used his e3 with one console already and that he used their downgrade.bin. I think he is having the same problem i am. the not the right ps3 error message. we dont know how to reset the e3 flasher.

there is a little red button on the center of the e3 flashboard. disconnect the flasher(not the clip) from the sata port and hold down the button for like a minute... dont know if it works but it looks like it sits next to a (wtf do you call it) alternator ? no..... you know a thing that collects the volt and amp to store and release it over a much longer time... dont know the english word for it

The Problem is I used this method on a new e3 flasher on a ps3 and I managed to downgrade it successfuly without any errors, I tried to use the same e3 on another ps3 it failed and it gets me this error "not original ps3" from the first step which is backing up the flash, I have 3 e3s and I already used one with the original e3 tutorial successfuly I tried to use it on another ps3 this time this tutorial, FAIL the same error...any ideas how to reset the e3, I know there is a way but I don't know it...

Yes, that is what i meant to say.
If you use the E3 official tutorial on X ps3 console, the E3 would work on Y ps3 console with this tutorial?

It seems that sanfree even if he used this tutorial and the oficial one from E3 still are problems dongrading second ps3 console.

I try dump into flashFun mode but same problem.

don't use the e3_downgrade.bin on the second ps3!!!

use your patched bkpps3.bin like in my tut and flash it in FUN MODE! than use
your downgrade dongle and so on...

don't touch the Lock/Unlock switch on the e3 flasher!!!



just all DOWN and the 3th for backup UP, so backup your 3.70, 3.71, 3,72 or 4.0 OFW Firmware!

patch it

all DOWN just the first switch UP for FUN MODE and flash your "backup" that you have patched to your ps3

than switch all DOWN and start your ps3...

tada he must say "put a controller inside ..." switch the ps3 off

the rest is in my tut @post 1!!!

2) Isn't the soldering part only for unbricking? Can I skip the soldering?

Hi ! I don't use downgrade.bin on the second. I just want to classic read dump .
But e3flasher seem locked now ...
I try it on the first it's OK.
