I fear I will be confused the whole time I don't want to be bored or anything. A lot of people on YouTube say it's boring. I've been watching other people's experiences.
Good luck, court houses put me to sleep. If I were in your shoes, I'd be counting sheep the whole time I was there, haha!

Its just jury selection, they'll ask a bunch of questions. just make yourself sound unsuitable. either the defence or the ada will dismiss you. its not that hard. come across as a biggot or someone that has issues......you'll be out after the first round, home for lunch...

I am in no way racist, but I have heard of people playing the "race card" when being interviewed for jury selection... if the person(s) on trial are not the same race as you, this is a FOR SURE way to NOT be selected. It sounds bad, and I agree... but if you absolutely do not want to be selected, it's an easy way out. Jury Duty sucks if you are selected and you hold any type of full time job that pays more than peanuts because it can drag out for multiple court dates, and you will be paid just enough to cover your fuel charges to drive there and back for the day (at least that's how it is around where I live).

If I ever get summoned for jury duty, i'm going to flip my ****. My school's attendance policy doesn't allow excused absences....Yes, if someone happened to die in my family, they wouldn't give a ****. If I got hit by a train driven by deadpool, they wouldn't give a ****. If I miss too many days, I get kicked out of my class.

btw, i hear its gonna suck but you probably heard that already.

All the comments made here, are a perfect statement of why random jury - trials are useless. People should be convicted by provided proper evidence, and not by how well (or not) your ''defense'' is or how moody a jury is..

Something I think that would be helpful to keep from getting bored would be to stand up at random times and yell famous courtroom movie quotes. I've googled a few to help you get started. Good luck!

"I'm out of order? You're out of order! This whole court's out of order!"

"You want answers? You can't handle the truth!"

"Now you will receive us. We do not ask for your poor or your hungry. We do not want your tired and sick. It is your corrupt we claim. It is your evil that will be saught by us. With every breath we shall hunt them down. Each day we will spill their blood ‘til it rains down from the skies. Do not kill, do not rape, to not steal. These are principles, which every man of every faith can embrace. These are not polite suggestions, these are codes of behavior and those of you that ignore them will pay the dearest cost. There are varying degrees of evil. We urge you lesser forms of filth not to push the bounds and cross over into true corruption, into our domain. But if you do you, one day you will look behind you and you will see we three, and on that day, you will reap it. And we will send you to whatever god you wish."

So much negativity...and here I want to get jury duty for the sole purpose of freeing a non-violent person who has done nothing but violate a pointless law created by a corrupt government that is itself above the law, and they have not called me once in the 9 years I have been registered to vote.
