ps3hax mens playstation 3 hacks ,so what the f**k a psvita got to do with this site?it's going to cover psvita in the future?fine!! i hope someday that who voted for psvita here will also ask for other sony products to be covered on this site , just to mention one of them:Aibo the dog and one day download and accidently install the dog firmware on their 3.55cfw ps3 or vita ,so their consoles will brick and die after barking a couple of time in their faces

What else is new? But I am sure that some enterprising young man will reverse engineer this and start selling knock off for a fraction of the cost. It is just me, or Sony just keeps shooting itself on the foot with crap like this?

Reminds me of the PSX days, when I got Final Fantasy 7 and it announced that you need the Sony Memorycard to finish the game. Funnily enough everyone I knew already had a memorycard. Buying memorycards was "standard" back in the day. Every console, that didn't use "carts" of sorts as their medium, had those. And even the N64 had a memory card addon, if I recall correctly, and they could have used batteries for all their games. But that wouldn't have been cost effective.

Back then nobody complained. But times have changed, so I can definitely see why some people are pissed at Sony over this. It shouldn't have been a problem for Sony to include 4 gigs (enough for save games) of internal memory. But they want to make extra cash on their stupid memory cards, nickel and diming us, the consumer. If they had at least used a standardized format, it'd have been okay. But making these propriety just means that they can only be used on the Vita, and perhaps other Sony hardware. That is truly upsetting, and in 2011 that shouldn't be done, since all of us already have a myriad of other memorycards. Back in the PSX days, it was acceptable, in the days of pocket sized hardware that can store a terabyte, it is not.

But what I can't understand is, are the few individuals here, that are upset at Sony to the point of them wanting their console to fail, and seeing this as a justification to pirate. Do you not realize that owning it is a privilege and not a right? You don't have to buy their product, if it's not what you want it to be. Speak with your wallet, and don't buy it. When you pirate games, you don't hurt Sony as much as you think. You hurt the developers. Sony already made their money from you, as you bought their piece of hardware. But then again some people will use anything as means to make themselves feel justified in being pirates. You not only want to play games for free, but also want to feel like Robin Hood while doing it. Heh!
