Hi. I am trying to figure out progskeet and e3. I bought need for speed the run and it updated the system to 3.72. Do i have to have either progskeet or e3 bought and in the ps3 machine ? Or is there a way i can use a regular usb and fix this with so i can downgrade it ? And i do not know what the factorysetting verison was when i bought the machine it just updated and i clicked yes.. Amazing work and tutorial,

there is something you can use called version check. also i recommend progskeet over e3. but to answer your question no there is not a way to go back on the usb. you will have to solder a hw flasher to your ps3.

darn if i only saw this before i updated my ps3 .........im on 4.0 ofw but i got online anyways lets say i go get ps3 now will it be on ofw 4.0? what firmware is sony shipping there ps3 lets say 250 gb one also big up to itskamel nice guide

i have no clue. but you would be best off buying a used ps3 like one from a pawn shop or game stop. just have them check the firmware that its on, before you buy it.

netflix no. you have to have psn for that and there is no psn on 3.55 cfw. media server yes you can still use that.

alrite thanks for all tips and answer once again nice guide i think ill go ebgames/gamestop buy ps3 hope get ofw lower then 3.55 all them refurbished ones are all sold out got try my luck u think should go for slim 120 250 320 GB my understanding this not working on phat ps3s ???

this works on any ps3 3.55 or below. also i suggest you try a pawn shop. or something like the killzone3 bundle.
