Possible Bricked PS3

OK itried installing the 3.55 ofw on my ps3 and it stops at 45% then it says an error occurred during the update operation (8002f14e),now i tried everything in the suggsted actions that it showed me on the screen and i tried turning it off,unplug power cord,go in to the recovert menu but everytime it goes back to the system update screen and stops at 45%.it doesnt go anywhere.every single tme i turn it on no matter what i do or try to go into system recovery it goes to the sytem update screen and it stops at 45,is it bricked?what can i do to get off this screen?

ps.please dont repli with if i went into recovery menu correctly and whatnot because i just stated i did and it goes back to the same screen after the 2 beeps

u need to format the hdd . u got told what to do in your other thread, u need to mod the fw so it by pass the blu ray with mfw builder but no u dont do that u just update normaly and u got your self in a update loop

ok yea thats fine i didnt do it and i also replied that it was complicated for me,people make mistakes,and ur reply it is not helping at all,i want answeres regarding my problem/question so that it can help me get out of this screen.

1st u need to format you ps3 via pc/laptop once u done that u enter recovery mode and install the fw that u have mod with mfw builder there is tutorials on how to use it about . u need to mod 3.55 ofw and also mod what ever cfw u want . on mfw builder there is a option u click to by pass the check . and u rebuild it . dl the mfw builder andcheck it out

ok but how do i format the hdd on my laptop?i have a mini laptop,i have no hdd case to connect to my ps3s hdd and laptop,where can i get one for cheap?best buy or how can i do it?
