It's not technical problem but commercial limitation.
I have team confirmation, it's not a joke : "you need get another e3 flasher"

Ps3usbjailbreak work great ! If you program it with factory function.

YEs it is ! You cannot sell it after use it. You cannot use it on another ps3.
100$ direct to the garbage after use . It's the most expensive f----- chip ONE time use only.

The only solution 4 now is this tuto ( tks 4 this ) ONLY if you never used downgrade.bin

for explain:

i have use the E3 Flasher with the e3_downgrade.bin on a FAT CECHK model to downgrade! Then I install it on my Slim 2004A model and find the way to downgrade it too with the SAME E3 Flasher!


IMPORTANT to know...

use the 10.14. and 11.22. update.bin for Spansion and Macronix NOR Chip
only the 10.28. for the Samsung NOR Chip


anything is wrong what many here do, because i have test it and can 100% verfizied it and many users in my other forum have also success with this method/tutorial!


the only 2 E3 Flasher combination is the third switch UP for Backup and the first switch UP to flash your .bin file in FUN MODE

I guess you wanted to say "Downgrade" function.

So, you cannot buy a used E3 to use it with this tutorial unless TDCroPower2 tell us the method to do it.


I saw on the german tutorial the Spansion, Macronix and Samsung bins, but i wasn't sure if this was a must, as this wasn't mentioned in E3 tutorials.


Another though:removing the nand chip to put in on a nand reader would have a better read success rate?
It seems that the E3 clip is kinda fragile...

I used a ps3key. Had so many problems with My psjailbreak2 dongle so i bought the key instead. Worked directly like a charm.

ok i got this tutorial to work after flashing the appropriate update through the e3 flashers usb cable. second ps3 downgraded just fine using the patcher mentioned earlier.
