Opinions are fine but you are completely missing the point.

The point is that when you write "I hope this is real!" - nothing happens, that's great.

When you write "He's going to release it soon! Before christmas!" - people start to believe you, and the hype spreads.

This is very bad because this "developer" has several times tweeted nonsense things and fake code, who very respected devs have proved false.

Try to think about it.

Why don't just watch the hype grow and eventually, if you are really right and it's fake, everybody wakes up from the dream everybody should be allowed to have. A dream even I have: progress in the PS3-scene.

Easy and short answer: Yes, someone gets dissapointed and angry.

YOU are allowed to dream, hope, pray, etc., but don't make other people believe your dreams when you know it might not be true, this is a news site, people who don't know much about the PS3 come here to learn and stay updated.
You want them to be misinformed, well that's not the purpose of this site, and if you really want what you are saying, to basically lie to these people, I think you should think it over a couple of times.

ADDED: Not to mention the people who DO get frustated, angry, dissapointed, etc., where do you think they end up with that frustation? Either vs. devs or on these forums for the moderators and admins here to clean up.

I think Math got a little butthurt when everybody got hyped for his stuff and then started to turn on him when he stopped releasing.

Everyone visiting a "Forum with News-Section" should know who to trust and who not.
That includes the #1 Post, aka "the News":
As soon as it gets Frontpaged, THEN it's news! Then you might be able to believe it!
Then follows the "discussion" of the News:
HERE should everybody be free enough to post what HE WANTS!
It's not HIS or HER problem if anybody is dumb enough to believe it or not!

So stop complaining. Let ppl believe what they want and what not. It's none of your business...
