Sorry for the late answer, but I've been on a business trip..

The first thing you should have read is the "README.txt" from the NORway archive. If I may quote:

"IMPORTANT:
Before you flash your PS3 with anything new, make sure that the content of your dump is correct (use the supplied tool "norpatch.exe", it's able to recognize any OFW core os). And keep your original dump in a safe place. You might need it."

is there a way to patch that info in to a good dump just to get back the recovery menu and get back to a functioning ps3 because not even my recovery menu will come up.. I'm planing on getting a e3 flasher just cause all this soldering is ridiculous when there are clips out there.
Unfortunately it's very unlikely that you can restore a working dump from five corrupted ones. How would you differentiate between "good" and "bad" bytes? I don't see any chance here, sorry.

And an E3 flasher can't help you there either..

that's understandable but as I stated earlier in that post.. from what I can tell and from reading bits here and there.. as long as the console specific stuff is there it's at least possible to get it back booting up.. would you be willing to have a look at one of my dumps and see if it really is there.. and how would one go about patching that into a say "virgin 3.73" dump.. I don't care if I have to go through a million steps to get it back working as long as I do .. how can I contact you more directly @judges ? so this whole file transfer stuff can go down do you have a dropbox?

can someone post a known good dump from 3.72 so i can have a look at the hex to see where mine differentiates from a good dump? and does anyone else know the exact offsets where the mandatory console specific data is stored? maybe i can try my hand at patching in what needed to get my console at least showing some form of life..
************* [ - Post Merged - ] *************
and @judges I actually did run my dump through your norpatch and it said

"norpatch.exe v3.72 - Verify/Patch PS3 NOR flash dumps [(c) judges@eEcho.com]
PRG0 version is 3.55
PRG1 version is 3.50
PKG0 version is unknown
PKG1 version is unknown
ROS0 version is unknown
ROS1 version is unknown"

but being new to all this I seen it recognized 3.72 and some older stuff and assumed since my dump size came out right and that the norpatch seen something I should have been ok.. like I said I did a lot more reading after that and became a lot more informed on stuff.. still no expert by any stretch of the imagination and I'm really hoping someone else with more knowledge and experience at this can help me.

I can have a look at them, but as I said, it's very unlikely that it's fixable. Just upload them to some file hoster and send me the links either here by pm or by email.

Unfortunately you totally misinterpreted norpatch's output. 3.72 is the version of norpatch.. It should have said e.g. "ROS0 version is 3.72" and "ROS1 version is 3.66".

@judges hopefully the really useful stuff is there I'm pretty sure the dumps are corrupted but I'm at the very least hoping that where the important data is that parts still intact do you or anyone else know the offset locations for the console specific data is? I would love to try and play around with it for future adventures.. below are my dumps and subsequent downgrade files ..crossing my fingers and hoping for a miracle to happen.

I will try your bin as soon as i resolder the teensy to the board.. going to solder it on again to make doubly sure it was not a wiring issue last time.. dont think it was but who knows.. also going to make the wires as short as possible and try and insulate them from rf interference or anything else.. and then try flashing etc etc..

@jhax
sorry I may have worded that last reply wrong.. after my ps3 decided to not boot anymore I unsoldered my teensy from it.. I have not yet tried any new bin files but once I do get the teensy all soldered up I shall give the bin you patched for me a go.. sorry if I through you off I sometimes word things wrong. and thanks in advance for trying to help.. hopefully it brings some life back into a once wonderfully working console that I borked up.
