With the users of the OtherOS being the "geekier" type, in the next week or so there will be mass hacks against $ony and not just he pl@yst@tion side of it. I'm not saying I personally will conduct such an attack but I know there are people out there smarter than myself with less on their social plate (i'm a student)

You definitely will have PSN access if you just do the update to 4.0 then back down to 3.55. It will automatically give you OtherOS AND PSN access because of the court order. Anyone who tells you different is wrong. You are not a noob. You have taken a lot of information and made the educated conclusion that this court ruling means PSN for jailbreakers. I for one, am impressed! I am going to get online and update right now as well. The haxxors have won!
