My PS3 Got Updated at party looks like Im getting a progskeet soon :(
Well, this sucks some girl at my friends party put a disc in that required 3.72 and updated my system, ya I know theres a spoofer only reason I didn't install it, is because v4 was already out. is there an easy way to make your own spoof I'm gonna have to look into this after I fix it,
of course afterwords probably wolnt matter, but I want to set my ps3 to like firmware 9.90 or something, how come we don't have a spoofer like this. Its so annoying I had internet connection and everything disabled and this crap still got updated, atleast my friends are gonna help me out with getting the chip, and I have another person who can solder it in... guess I'm gonna have to figure out how to hex edit those files so that I don't run into this **** again. I'm not pissed only because I know this can be reversed its just gonna be a pain the ass. My ps3 is a nor I'm pretty sure but, with what i've heard on the e3 flasher being a bricker I'm not going to use that. Anyways if you guys have any suggestions for me other than progskeet let me know. I was thinking teensy++ but I didn't see to much info on it I'll have to do some more digging. RIP PS3 Looks like its gonna be collecting dust possibly for a few weeks hopefully less. |

Well what you could do in the future is install REBUG and go to the special debug options and turn "System Update Debug" to ON. You never need to install a spoofer or anything like that. Anytime it tries to update it will say it found a higher version but when you proceed to install it will stop and say you're on the latest firmware.

I would suggest a teensy because you can actually house the teensy inside the ps3. with a progskeet you will have to come up with some elaborate way to make it fit inside or a connector to make it connect outside, or desolder it.
im not sure how you missed it but the NORway sticky thread has TONS of information (50+ pages) about the teensy and flashing/downgrading. |

Lol, some troll-ish questions for you: what was the game? Just dance 3? And also, was she even at least cute?
Now that ive got that out of my system, more to the topic, id definetly downgrade asap, maybe install rebug as mentioned or a spoofer if you must, and i believe (but not positive) that there is a way to disable disc update. Only thing i have modded is my wii and even on my wii i have disc update off. Be careful with the downgarde and soldering, educate yourself on youtube and have a calm state of mind when doing these things. Any mistake can be fatal. |

dang wish I had known rebug had that one, I was meaning to for a long time to upgrade to it too. Just didn't feel like messing with it.
Well as ironic as it seems it was uncharted 3 ok I'll definitely take a serious look into the teensy. I'm gonna have to crack my ps3 open again to make sure I got the right nor. If I can do it with the teensy. I'll be able to order it tomorrow. |

very true I've been wanting to chip this sucker anyways so that I can enjoy online too, if anything I'm gonna get some kind of damn positive out of this one way or another.... if not, next time its rebug and I'm slapping paper over the dvd drive....

I've already done that with cellotape over the slot and tape over the eject button so my son can't mess anything up
