I recently ordered some new PC parts to upgrade my old workstation so it could play games...they have not arrived yet but Skyrim did...so I installed it on my old rig just for giggles...and it works wonderfully! Seriously...I am talking about a system with a dual core CPU, an old 3870, and a boot hard drive using software AES...the system hardly meets the minimum specs for this game, but it works great at 1080P with the settings turned up! The fact that the PS3 has problems with this game is just sad. I almost feel like I have wasted money on the new hardware since the latest games seem to run just fine on this outdated piece of crap.

I am honestly amazed how terribly the PS3 runs compared with this junky old PC, and once I get my new parts, I will look at the PS3 the same way I currently look at my PS2.

It's not the PS3's fault, it's Bethesda's fault for being too lazy to learn the PS3. They are some of the laziest developers ever. The PS3 has been out for over 5 years there is no way they couldn't learn how to program for it now. Bethesda has a history of releasing unfinished games.

i know what you mean you can make a rig that would wipe the floor with ps3 for only 100 bucks more i had come to the same realization earlier this year after my hdd got screwed up so i didnt bother replacing it till a few weeks ago...
but now i have i am actually really enjoying it yeah my pc can do everything it can plus more but theres something about a dedicate gaming machine thats really nice i have been mostly catching up on homebrew games and few of those duplex ports but its nice to sit down after a day with a beer and not be desecrated by all the other things on my pc and plus i have been using my pc a lot more productively producing music on ableton mostly (which should be ported to the ps3)

The ps3 was never created to "best" a PC so you can't expect it to to be fair

@Annelies . I agree with you both completely, every now and then me and my friends would wonder what would happen if consiles had hardware that upped the specs similar to the n64's expansion pak. Then again why would it matter if this issue's only always rampant when bethesda is always the culprit. Bethesda ALWAYS gives the ps3 the finger.

Not at all. It was sold as having PC functionality but not as a direct replacement

Oh and when you talk about Betesda, go and play Elder Scrolls Morrowind and say that is an unfinished game.
