yes it does, it is meant to occupy 2 cpus with the new socket 2011 and they are ivybridges most likely...which intel is aiming for a 25 percent increase in performance compared to sandybridge. . also to mention its that it uses quad channel memory .

Yeah... a pair of socket R chips! It also has onboard SAS with support for 8 SAS drives (hundreds if expanders are used)...it might even have onboard hardware RAID from what I can see in the pictures.

I really only see one potential issue...it has dip switches to turn the PCIe slots on and off...usually that means that they cannot all operate in x16 mode at the same time. That, and it does not seem to have crossfire support...only SLI.

I hope at least 3 way sli will be possible.

It most likely does have hardware raid as its previous variant the SR-2 supports raid. SAS should be useful for many .

Looks like it has dual bios aswell, OCers rejoice lol .

Correction: Supports dual sandybridge-EP xeons but I don't doubt ivybridge support.

One of the best features I think is there is Dual ethernet (hope/most likely its gigabit).

Intel's recent chipsets have all supported both SLI and crossfire I don't see why they wouldn't do the same here considering this being a hell of an enthusiast board that it is (unless it isn't a Intel chipset and is a Nvidia chipset lol). Apparently is has the nf200 which is found on other nvidia chipsets, apparently located under the black heatsink (was it really that big?).

It should work with the new Socker R i7's as well.

I am sure the board has onboard RAID...what I wonder is if it is hardware RAID like you find on $300+ cards, or software RAID like you find on mainboards costing as low as $50. There really is a difference when it comes to RAID5.

The reason I am sad it doesn't have crossfire is because crossfire supports 4-way, while SLI only supports 3-way. Since you have 7 slots, it would seem that crossfire would allow for slightly more insane builds. Then again, I think you can have multiple SLI arrays, so you could have a 3-screen setup with a big screen in the middle powered by 3-way SLI, and two smaller screens turned sideways on either side of the big screen, each powered by 2-way SLI!!!

All well...I am certainly not getting one...I bet this mainboard costs more than my whole computer.
