Wanted: PS3 controller shaped like Xbox controller

Title says it all. Having my thumbs touch is really annoying. Anyone know of any good (competition worthy) controllers or possibly a modded ps3 controller inside the 360 shell?

A good option is to use a wired original 360 controller plus an adapter.
Pros : Cheap (although an aftermarket controller would be a bit cheaper) and the adapter has switches to enable/disable rapid-fire.
Cons : Wired only, doesn't support wireless controllers.

Another option is an aftermarket controller, which would be wireless but will not be shaped exactly like the 360 one. I think there's one called Speedlink Xeox.

To have the best of both worlds you can look for a modded ps3 controller in a 360 shell but that'll be far more expensive.

A mod is your best bet, there are plenty of tutorials online that show you how to encase the PS3 internals inside a Xbox360 shell. Although you will need to be handy with a solder and other DIY equipment like a dremel .

Here is a guide: http://www.engadget.com/2007/05/01/h...60-controller/

there is an aftermarket one called the Power A.
Here is a review video for it:
Power A Playstation 3 Controller Review - Xbox 360 Style controller for PS3 - Pro Elite - YouTube

here is the power A on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Pro-Elite-Wire.../dp/B003V4AK8E

And I think there is another one that is called the raven but I don't know if you would like that.

And about the adapter I think this is or is similar to what he means:

Please remember that google is your friend .

With this you can use an official wired 360 pad on the PS3

I haven't go one yet but the reviews are good, pretty cheap too...bonus.

As @pereb27 said, I'd go for the Speedlink Xeox - trouble is, when are they gonna release it???

Kinda related, but I think I'll need to go the OPPOSITE way once the "new" Tony Hawks comes out - none of my friends have a PS3 and there's no way I can play Tony Hawks with the XBOX controller!

nyko makes the raven for the ps3 and it has a ver that is done up like the 360 controller.

@fatguy666 you would have to buy a converter to use a ps3 controller on the 360. they dont make(that i have seen) ps3 style controllers for the 360 as the demand is not there.

could i recommend the Gioteck GC-1 or HF-2 they also have a turbo function and you can update the firmware online. But please do not get the HF-1 as it is the same as the HF-2 in looks but is really terrible and sometimes doesn't work at all. here is a link to the official Gioteck website

http://www.gioteck.com/

i could not find a 100% reliable seller online i purchased mine from GAME and you could probably buy from a nearby store.
