Metal Gear shouldn't even be in the title should be more like Raiden May Cry or maybe even Raiden Sigma.
People pretty much booed and barfed the MGS they forced you to play as the loser Raiden who wants another game about this lame character... |

i will say they did a great job they tried to do something new the old metal gear was great but its getting a little bit boring but it was gud but i must agree there taking a new step in the metalgear series

 and  anyway if something like classic metal gear on psx was made then MG would be epic p.s that rapid aging snake story just sucked in mg4 :/

I just saw the trailer. While watching, I had to check the title to make sure it's the new MGS game. As
@Annelies
said, this has nothing to do with MGS and it shouldn't even be in the title. Seems like all that's left from "tactical espionage action" is the "action" part! It's like Bayonetta with Raiden! It's Raidenetta!!
 Seems like Rising will be to MGS what Joey is to Friends. Just a crappy spinoff. |

You people are barking at the wrong tree.
This is a spin off. This is Metal Gear Rising. Not Metal Gear Solid. Why cry over something like this when you are completely wrong to begin with? "Metal Gear Rising officially ruined" in whose mind? In that person's who is naive enough to make an apples to oranges comparison. Nothing is ruined and nothing will be. This is about fast paced sword combat--not hiding in shadows.
