Leave a ps3 to get a xbox360

So i have a ps3 slim 120gb . i have been on cfw since last month that bf3 came out and i couldnt stay without its multiplayer.. i am okay and happy with my 4.0 ofw ps3 but was wondering to get a xbox 360 and i had some question about it :

1) i want to flash the dvd to play burned games . my question is will i be able to play online then ? and by flashing which is the easiest way to do it without those 100$ tools
2) how are its online services comparing to ps3 ?
3) what about the graphics.. they really matter for me

Thank anyone who replies me .

It really has never been a good idea to play any hacked console online. Even in the best days, microsoft was remote bricking consoles that did this.

Anyway, the 360 is $200 for the 4GB base model...then you have to pay for xbox live. After two years of paying for xbox live, you have spent as much as you would have on a halfway decent gaming PC with better graphics. On top of that, you seem to like FPS games...and the PC is king of FPS thanks to the native keyboard and mouse control system.

yeah i have been a hardcore pc gamer since the began of this year that i bought my ps3 .. the only problem with the pc is the hardware required .. me for myself play a game in ultra high resolution and settings .. if not then i dont even try to play it .. what do you think of the price of a good gaming pc ?

Send a message via MSN to pbanj
it all depends on the drive you have on what will be needed, but you dont need to buy any of the crap they sell it is sold to make life easier. all you need is a compatible sata chip set on your mobo and if u dont have one you can buy a via sata card for under 10$. if you get a fat and you have a liteon then you just have to make a pmt probe which can be made for under 8$. if its a slim with a liteon you may have to drill the chip to unlock it. but with ether you will need an ihas burner and verbatim dl-dvds
for the new games that are coming out that are xgd3 the burner can be bought for under 20$. as for live safe having a flashed drive is live safe as long as you are not stupid(like some people i know) with it

xbox live sh!ts on psn always has i have used both and psn is meh. psn is only really good for the store and even that xbl craps on it every video you buy on your xbl account can be streamed to ur 360, downloaded to it(multiple times), watched on your pc, and put on a zune if u own one. the netflix app is the best out of all the ones i have used and that includes the one on the ps3, my tv, the wii, and my bluray player, its faster and has more hd content.

the graphics like the ps3 depend on the game its self(dont use halo as a judge on graphics)

also with the 360 you can have in game music with every game, there is also party chat that lets you chat with your friends even when you are playing different games

there are alot of new apps coming to the 360. they have a new youtube app and it works great, the iheart radio app works good to. i am in the beta so i get the apps before they get released, a vudu app is in the works to and they got the ufc app working also

side note all the holiday bundles are coming with 3 free months of gold, but as killerbug said pc gaming is better and will always be better

Your logic seems a bit biased...you want PC graphics maxed out, and if you can't do that, you want crummy console graphics that look like minimal PC graphics???

$400 will get you a decent gaming PC...it won't be top-end, but it will play all the titles at 1080P with graphics better than or equal to the PS3 or 360. It will be completely open (no need for hacking or jailbreaks) right from the start, and you won't need to worry about burned games or firmware updates or anything like that; just install Daemon Tools, rip your game disks, and put them away in a safe place. Online play is free, and PC game modding has been around long enough that the servers are designed to auto-block cheaters (unlike on consoles). If you want party chat, there is Skype (and it isn't limited to the XBL or PSN networks), if you want to play MP3s this is usually built into the games and can always be done using a media player in the background. Basically, the only place that a console is better than a cheap PC is when it comes to certain console-only exclusives...and the PC has exclusives too, in fact the PC has more exclusives than any platform in history.

My only problem here is that you want to go to xbox because it allows you to be a pirate. Granted i understand that you have a legit BF3 but as you said, youd ditch PS3 to play burned games. Maybe piracy isnt your big thing, ot just seemed that way as i read it. If you want graphics go to a pc, but if your cash strapped, consoles are a nice alternative but come on an "as is" basis, what you see is what you get. Seems like your other main thing aside from graphics was multiplayer. If you dont want to risk getting banned for having a modified system, again PC would be right for you. Just hope piracy isnt, im a huge no-no on piracy. I have a modded wii with plenty of isos on a hard drive but ask ne to pullout a box with games from my closet verifying retail counterparts and i will.

I'm the same way...my PS3 is full of games, but those same games are sitting in an air-tight box in my closet...and my PC is the same way. Disk swapping is a pain, and playing from disk is both slow and damaging to the drive over the long term.

This is kind of on subject and I've always wanted to know the answer:

Which console is better for pirating games?
(disclaimer; I don't pirate games)

Ask in the official piracy debate thread instead of hijacking others
