When I said new technology I was speaking about the 1Tb 2.5". It is rather new right? And it seems like it is failing. I tried to look up the western digital 1Tb drive they are trying to sell and i cant find it either now. Are they pulling them for the same reason? They did buy out the samsung HDD division you know.

Floods in Thailand = no HDDs... Am I really the only one who watches the news?

Edit: More specifically, the HDDs are there, but they're all hella-expensive or sold-out. Same ****, diff pile.

No...that tech isn't new at all. I have a 1TB 2.5" WD drive that is over a year old. If it were not for these companies using the floods to exploit the public into paying more for old drive designs, we would have 1.5TB or larger 2.5" drives by now.

Yeah...it is a total load of crap how they exploit their customers like this. They claim they have to go to third world countries to save $0.25 per unit on behalf of the customers...then a flood comes and damages their factory, and they double the prices. They knew they were building in a flood zone.

I just hope that racetrack or some other new storage tech comes out soon and these bastards go out of business like they deserve to.

I'm having some issues with my slim ps3, some games are running very laggy, and others just perfectly fine, fight night champion is impossible to fight, dead island y having major lag but when going to new map sectors, if I stay in the same area and move around there's no lag at all until a zombie appears, theres video lag and sound stuttering. Games like arkham city got some minor stutter at the starting menu, but in game runs smoothly. Blu ray reproduce movies fine, I don't know if it's the HDD or GPU or what, does somebody had this same issue?? I've tried Rebuilding database, restoring filesystem, a quick format, using a component cable instead HDMI....it's my ps3 just dying??
