hey it says my data is corrupted when I attempt to update from a flash, it also says to pleas insert a usb drive with 4.00 or higher.

Im fairly literate so im certain i read everything properly. Have I missed something? Does it have anything to do with the age of my console? Its a newer ps3 slim.
