Kakarotoks does not troll the scene like some faker. It's not a CFW, but a HEN... It enables Homebrew and that is it. It will not allow you to play back ups.

I'm doing the exact same thing, if my PS3 whcih I'll be purchasing soon (160gb slim) is over 3.55, then I wont update because 4.00 kills PSP > PS3 game sharing, I'll just hope for a miracle or something :P

People once said PS3 will never get hacked, but it did, so I can only hope again that we'll see at least homebrews in future firmwares.

If you are buying it for the Uncharted series, just watch the "Lets Play" videos...they are more enjoyable than the actual games. If you are buying it for GT5, then you want OFW anyway since most of the fun is had playing it online. The rest of the PS3 exclusives are virtually identical to similar games on the 360 anyway.

Is Kmeaw 3.55 the best thing to do now, or is there anything else (better?) for 3.40-3.50?

3.55 has all games compatibility

So.. 3.55, because it'd be compatible with the most games?

Aren't there fixes for some of them (like Uncharted 3)? Or are those kind of 50/50 whether or not they work.

There is a couple of fixes after 3.60 as like battle field 3
Uncharted 3 and some others and for more you will need true blue dongle
Or just wait and see wht will come when kakaratos comes out with his jailbreak
and if your gonna put kmeaw make sure you
Update to 3.55 ofw first
and kmeaw is the best out there beside rebug there is also hermes on 3.41 if your not satisfied with kmeaw you can always swap
just make sure you go to ofw first on most and if your ever on 3.55 you can always downgrade back to 3.41 buy installing QA flag
