This is why I believe such a remark shouldn't been made on this forum (especially not from a mod).
I have also given u "modern" facts in terms of the Arab population inside Israel and Gaza ( I have yet to find any extermination camps to wipe out any of them - however, you can rest assured that their population is increasing).
TBH, I would worry more about whats going on to the population in certain regions in South Africa than Gaza.

either way I agree with you about one thing, we can have an endless debate on this matter, so we should put this aside and focus our energy towards something else.
(I really should focus my energy on conducting my own research on the ps3 instead of this).

if this was a political forum then a mod should indeed be impartial but as you have said on more than one occasion, this is not, and everyone here is allowed voice an opinion on any matter as long as no rules are broken in the process.

im not insulting any one and greg good catch i guess thats what i get for posting when i just wake up. i was thinking today some other religions that have not harmed any one Islam(terrorists do not count as they are retarded true Islamic's do not act like that) and Judaism(they dont do **** to people but seem to get shafted all the time).

and like i said in my other post guess you didnt read it(see what i did there), im not insulting you i am treating that book like i would any other and calling it for what it is and that is a fairy tale(you happy greg). like i said that book is no different then the book Scientology, same goes for the Quran, Torah.

im sorry but most of the crap in that book was taken from other religions to get them to convert over. another thing if you ever read the bible the devil doesnt kill that many people yet god kills tons, hell(no pun intended) he even makes one kill his own son to prove loyalty. so by any logic god seems like the evil one. remember god cast Satan out for challenging his views,yeah that definitely sounds like some one you would want to spend eternity with.

also do not post a thread about religion on a forum if you dont want to hear what people have to say about it. i respect your views but religion has no right to say anything about abortion.

oh and this is not coming from some punk kid this is coming from a father and someone who has lost a child. like i said religion should learn to keep its nose out of things if i was an atheist like you seem to think i am i would not care to study religions nor would i have respect religious people.

as for that yahoo answers pic i found that a long time ago its amusing(even though it is ****ed up), think about how scary that room would be it would make any child listen. but you should know is no one is doing that

This is the whole point of religion; controlling people.

I am an atheist...and I still study religions. It started when I tried to find the "correct" religion, but I never found it. The closest thing I found were the original (pre Buddhism) teachings of the Buddha...and this was more of a life plan than a religion. I still watch religions because they are not just ignorance...they cause real damage. You can say that the Muslim faith isn't violent...but that doesn't change the fact that it can be used to create violence. Same goes for all the other "peaceful" religions. People use all of them to create violence and hatred.

Even when the control is not used for violence and hatred, it is still control over others. There are sometimes good results (like when a church gives food to the needy)...but such programs don't have to be religious. In fact, if the tithes of members went directly to such things rather than going to the church where they fund all the other activities first, then such programs would be much more effective even if the tithes paid were much smaller .

I guess there isn't much to be done tho...churches and governments will persist to control people for the purposes of enriching their leaders as long as people are willing to support their own slavery, and it is clear that most people are happy to do exactly that. The fact that people go to church without being forced to at gunpoint proves that governments will persist for a very long time.
