I stopped following PSP scene last year, but as far as I'm aware, all firmwares are hackable, mine is on 6.35 pro and it can do everything, just as the newest firmware CFW can do almost everything AFAIK.
ah, I shouldn't talk about a subject I'm not 100% sure on. Just wait for a better answer

The only difference is that PRO has a new loader called the inferno which has good compatibility with games.

As you wrote, ME-2, I take it you have a full-hackable PSP.
If you upgrade to 6.60, you can install ME-1.6 (6.60) which is the most recent Minimum Edition. If you remain on 6.39, consider installing ME-9.7 (6.39) as it is more up-to-date than a very old release of ME-2. Note: ME-1.6 (6.60) and ME-9.7 (6.39) have the same features, he simply updated their revision numbers separately as he started on 6.60 later. All (L)ME releases can be found here
Keep in mind this does not mean full CFW. That is based on the PSP itself.
(Sorry for the pastie, I couldn't get attachments to work.) Last edited by jc_gargma; 12-19-2011 at 08:03 PM. Reason: Clarity of Thought |

Ok, so i went the route of ME 1-6, the pro installer was giving me sh**. Now, i NEED CWcheat to work, but it refuses to recognize my games, im no cheater, but for example, a year ago i was 28% done with GTA LCS, that memory stick has decided to fail, and so i lose my progress, im the kind of person who uses cheat devices as insurance, so id like to be back in staunton island but i am NOT playing all that all oer again, im barely on 5%, scrw that. I downloaded a file from megaupload that claimed it was for 6.60 ME, but same issue, can you help me with that? Can anybody? Please? |

@jc_gargma
for psp mod here xD...
Quick Summary ME:M33 Like, battery options for older psps, and ME driver for games. Closed Source PRO:Inferno Driver, Open-Source, so can be vastly improved. Both can use CIPL (Custom IPL) My personal favourite: Since i own a 2k, i'll say ME, but depending on your model and version, you may have to switch to PRO (For later model psps, such as 88v3 2k and up, it's better to use PRO) Edit: Just noticed your latest post, PRO is better handling plugins. |
