Did you try to exchange the pcb clip to see if there's a problem with the "used" clip. Or try to exchange the card in the hdd bay?

All when perfectly fine.. but now i want to downgrade another fat ps3, but cant make a backup.. just like more people here, i got the 11000100 error..

I really want to try you method, but how do i make a backup?
just switch 3 up doesn't work!

Sorry!! you are completly correct.. i updated the e3 flasher with another update (didn't know it was a samsung) and now he is making a backup..

Just to clarify, i will take my backup, use your tool.. and then use this file as downgrade.bin..?

But how do you explain that i downgraded 3 different ps3 with the same downgrade.bin?

so thommy86 everthing went well explain better what you do you do the solder point ??' or you just use the patcher in the bin backup file and then rename it to downgrade.bin without the solder point ??? explain i have here 8 ps3 to do :P . please explain every step thanks

Yes I downgraded 4 ps3’s with the same flasher.. The first 3 I did the E3 way.. The 4th one, I did like descripted in the first post.

- Upgrade E3 flasher.. Switch 1,2 Down switch 3,4,5,6 Up (take the correct update, 11000100 error if you have the wrong update)
- Make a backup! Switch 1,2,4,5,6 Down switch 3 Up.. (check backup carefully, see first post)(size 16,777,216 Bytes)
- Take your bkpps3.bin file and use the tool to patch it.
- Replace the bkpps3.bin file on your SD with the bkpps3.bin.patched one.. (Rename the file, remove .patched)
- Cut power
- Put the Flasher in Flash fun mode.. Switch 2,3,4,5,6 Down switch 1 Up.. flash
- Then if you start your ps3, it will say connect controller.. DON’T DO THIS
- Cut power..
- Insert dongle, start (ps3 will power off)
- Insert USB with .self and .pup file
- Start ps3, it will start and you will see a red box.. Power off ps3..
- Now you are almost done.. Just put the last self file on the usb.. ps3 will shut down automatically

It seems that it matter the nor type you have to downgrade; e3 doesn't block.
What dongle have you used to get to factory mode?

Checking just the size of the dump is not enough.


For testing e3 or progskeet you could use Dump.pkg when you are in 3.55 to get a dump, update, the proceed to downgrade.

i have a psjailbreak and a ps3key.. i couldnt update the psjailbreak to a downgrade dongle.. so thats why i used the ps3key..

i saw in the youtube video from khalkadon that he used the psjailbreak.. maybe he knows how to update this dongle..

I read all the posts, but I couldn't understand somethings and I got confused.
Please, answer my questions properly.
1- I have used the E3Flasher with their tutorial in a PS3 FAT (WITH NOR Spansion) CECHL04, but now, I can't make a backup in a PS3 Slim CECH-2004B. What can I do?
2-I do not need to solder anything right?
3-In this second PS3, it will be used the "half dual-boot" function. Is it possible after using the clip to dowgrade the PS3 Fat?
4-I have the PS3 Slim in 4.00, I have the 4.00 NOR backup from my PS3 Fat...

Please help me, I really need to downgrade this PS3 Slim. How the fuc* can they block the E3Flasher for only one PS3???

In the first post are some E3 update files.. try another one.. after updating, i was able to make a backup..
