Full Backup Error 80010038 - PS3Hax Network

Hello,

I hope somebody can help me with my issue. When I try to made an full backup of my PS3 after some time of calculation the backup programm gives me the error code "80010038" and the message that the backup was not successfull. It is the first time that I try to made an backup on my CFW 3.55 (kmeaw). It is possible that the CFW is the reason for that problem?

It appears that the error is due to copy-protected info which cannot be backed up by regular means. Such things may include PSN titles you have downloaded, which require activation. That said, it seems unlikely that CFW would be the cause of something of this nature. Sorry that I couldn't help more, but on a lighter note, your English is actually quite good =)

Flash back to OFW 355 & do your full Ps3 backup .This is what i did to upgrade to new drive .Then flash back to CFW. Nothing will change so do not worry. It is easy ,no problems either. It is better to backup on OFW vs CFW ,if anything happened to the ps3 hard drive, flashing a new drive with OFW 355 world be best bet for. I make 2 backups per Ps3 1 ofw & 1 cfw..

Very simple ..

Thank you for the hints, I think it's maybe the PSN content that I installed, I will delete it and try again. I will keep you up do date

I have 100+ PSN games installed & it still worked on OFW 355

Hi @all ,

I tried again and again, I deleted some stuff but I could not manage to backup my whole ps3 with installed CFW

the last line of defence is now to go back to OFW and made a backup, but I won't do that. Because the only thing that is important to me are my save games and it is possible to export the savegames without a full backup. So it's OK for me to do only the export for my savegames.

I searched a little in the web and here in the forum and I don't understand why I cannot find other posts about that issue. I think I am not the only one that have that problem. Or is it possible that nobody made a full backup
