No one forced them to go to Palestine. There were other, better places to go...but they wanted to be in their "Holy Land"...they wanted this and they got it. Once they got it, they wanted more...once they got that, they demanded more, and so on. The fact is that the people of Palestine never agreed to any of this, and their religion does not state that the jewish people should have this land and kill everyone else...so they don't appreciate it.

From the Buddhist standpoint where it is better to be slaughtered than to hurt your attacker while defending yourself, yes...both sides are wrong. From the viewpoint of any civilization that has not been completely and utterly crushed by attackers, it is justifiable to defend yourself, in which case the Israeli side is wrong.

While i don't agree with much of what you have said i thank you for taking the time to explore my "rant". I still feel you have over simplified core issues and can assure you i respect your right to do so. I even concede my post that started this discourse was unnecessary and ultimately inflamed what is a very emotional and difficult topic to discuss at the best of times. I apologise for this. You are correct, i clearly don't know Greg at all, my perception prior to this was formed absent personal knowledge of their usual interacting with others and simply reflected the posts i had previously read by them that from memory never had such a personal nature about them.

I believe what i believe due to a lifetime of experiences and simply say I am clearly blessed to have lived the life i have and feel extreme sorrow for all those who are oppressed whether its financially, physical, politicly or from religion..... I just wish we had evolved past these sorts of issues causing the violence and anger amongst us all. Wishes don't pay the bills though so wherever possible, when allowed to, i will always attempt to put a balanced view point out there from many years of study and investigation, but mostly from experience and "eye witness" nature of the work i have done with both nations individuals and organisations..... and personally treat others as i would like them to treat me....

Again, i stand by my views but do apologise for my original post being what it was; frustration at a world filled with information and wonders that boggle the mind that seems to be getting less truth than ever before and the ever escalating conflicts that waste so much of our resources and rob us of future enlightenment and progress...
