We all know that the ps3 scene is very slow, so ps3hax has to jump on any scraping of info and wanna be the first to front page it. Theres stuff on the front page that isnt really news in a haxscene in my opinion. Doesnt help if theres nothing else to report though. Now the point, lets ensure the visitors of this site can and will trust whats here. That no harm will come by visiting, downloading from or linking from the site. All because another site is reporting something doesnt mean following them, in fear of being behind. I wanna keep on the safe side

Should a Mod trawl through every site of interest and download every file on it in the possibility it has a virus?

You are making a mountain out of a mole hill and wanting your arses' wiped for you. If you are incapable of checking a file yourself before you open and run it then tough poo, you have just proven that you should not be allowed to use a PC without supervision.

The best way to avoid getting a virus is to keep your pc off I mean come on it's the internet that's what you get virus protection for nothing is safe

just watch what you download and do backups before you download it

For those of you moaning and *****ing about hax linking to a virus:

1. They didn't link to the virus, they linked to a site that hosted files that were infected.
a. Mediafire no doubt has infected files on it, yet you wouldn't ***** about them linking mediafire--- would you?
b. Be responsible for your OWN systems' security, a little self reliance goes a long way.
c. None of you are likely to be someone's elderly retired grand mother--- you should know what a virus is and how to protect against it.
2. I tweeted the info to GregoryRasputin and went and found him on IRC. Within minutes he had posted on twitter about it and shortly later front paged the news article warning everyone.
3. They removed the ads; like it or not, agree or not, that will impact their revenues-- and you don't pay a dime to come here. (BTW, I'm glad they are gone too. Surely you know my feelings on these dongles by now.)
4. I dare you to find ONE other site that has *YET* to warn their users that they are about to download virus infested exe's.
5. Still need another reason? STFU then, you can't be pleased.

Almost correct.

#1 Pirate is not paid to run this site, it is his (taking donations from equation as that is not what you stated)

#2 It is the Admin of the site in questions responsibility to keep it virus free, not Anyone from PS3HAX's
