Hey guys,

So I was reading some threads and most of them did not specify if jailbreaking works for the new ps3 slims..

So i was wondering if the same rules apply:
if the Official Firmware is 4.00 or above it is currently impossible to jailbreak
and if its 3.55 I am able to jailbreak it

also if we do successfully jailbreak it, is it safe to go on PSN?

every firmware above 3.55(or 3.56... but was this an real jb?) has not been jailbroken (there never been an jailbreak released, so lets assume it hasnt been jailbroken (lol))

every firmware UNDER 3.55 (and 3.55 itself) is jailbreak-able.

Going on PSN on CFW 3.55 will get your ass banned (I believe there are no ways to play online without getting banned, but thats my opinion)
However, there might be an possibility you can play on psn when an new cfw gets released, but it'll be a matter of time before sony starts banning for the new cfw aswell (3.70+ only).

there is no psn without official firmware and no hacking above 3.55 at the moment

if your ps3's stock fw was higher than 3.55 then forget all about hacking it for now and just enjoy it

suppose i buy a ps3 slim today from retail store,, chances are the firmware is higher then 3.55 correct?

the chance of getting an firmware lower then 3.55 is pretty low when your going to an local store
