As others have said, Xmas is actually a pagan celebration. It originally had nothing to do with Jesus, or God or anyone like that, it was along looonng before any of those.

Pagans worship (as far as I'm aware) the earth, mother nature etc.. They would have there "Christmas" on 22/23 Dec I believe.

Religion the sense of Christian etc, came about with Christmas after to try to convert the pagans to believe in God and Jesus and all that.

Jesus was not born on Dec 25..

you can label me as a self educated non-christian. about 4 years ago i got caught up in wanting to know what this religion was all about. Being brought up in a home where all my family is christian , I thankfully never had this religion pushed upon me. I started reading and researching and collecting books, encyclopedias and any resources i could to understand all of the things i was learning without any outside influence. I would challenge any of you with an eagerness for the truth to do the same. Forget what you have been taught. Go in with an open mind and make your own decisions. You will be surprised at what you find. as for you idelete... ezra 10:9, 13; jeremiah 36:22. Even your own preachers will admit to you that jesus was not born in december if you ask them. All scholars will agree on that

you are all on the right track, the roman emporer got converted to christianity from a pagan religion. Before chrictianity Romans worshiped the sun god RAA. Constantine made it legal (previously illegal to worship jesus) because he became a christian. And he choose the date december 25 why? Because it was the date they celebrated raa the sun god.

...And why did he convert you might ask? Officially it is because he saw a cross and was told to conquer in the name of the cross. The reality is actually a combination of two things. The first is that he was such a monster that no other religion would accept him anymore...the second is because Christianity is a great way of controlling people.

ever ask yourself why the Vatican controls all of the ancient christian manuscripts and records pertaining to religion? because they have controlled religion and how people view it from when they created it. They don't want you to see all of their corruption. Friday the 13th for example.
