what did you do to the machine, for it to behave like that?

try to boot into recovery mode, does it work? if not it most likely a reflow problem, but without knowing what you did to your machine then we can't help...

once i downgraded from ofw 3.7 to cfw 3.55 with E3 flahser as per the instructions on E3 site.

every thing was ok.....but for curiosity ... i started to experiment and this is what happened as written below...

I again inserted the e3 usb downgrade dongle and booted the ps3 to get into service mode, then loaded the ofw 3.55 along with the lv2diag.self from step1 on usb flah and started the ps3 , it took some time then ps3 shut down. Thinking that all went well, i loaded the lv2diag.self on to usb flash drive from step 2 to come out of service mode and started the ps3 , ps3 shut down after some seconds.

When i started the ps3 it started and after few seconds 3 beeps and then ps3 shuts down with blinking red light....hope this might give an idea ..

Regards

I do not know anything about the e3 but I have worked in tv repair shop. If you try to upgrade the firmware incorrectly it would cause problems with the tvs. Sometimes with no video in screen would make this difficult. It sounds like you were going thru steps to flash your ps3 correct? Maybe if one step did not finish correctly and you tried the next step, things may have gotten screwed up. Maybe try to reflash again. But like I said I don't know anything about e3 so wait for someone who knows better.

well of course you just installed a firmware with an unpatched lv1 of course it doesn't boot, you can't use normal firmwares on your machine since it has been downgraded, do this, it might work.

download rogero 3.55 cfw V2 (which has lv1 patched to not check the syscon)

(your machine never really got out of service mode i assume cause when you flashed the OFW it didn't boot anymore), your machine is still on service mode most likely, just prepare a usb stick with the rogero pup and the lv2diag.self you will notice upon boot that the machine will not turn itself off anymore and will flash the rogero firmware v2

just remember PS3UPDAT.PUP and lv2diag.self on the root of your pen drive and let it update...

if the ps3 dont boot it wont load anything of the usb, just when it starts to load from the hdd it shuts of and beeps, with the red light flashing...

does the ps3 start when you put the e3 flasher in flash fun mode ? did you solder the sbe - tristate ?
if so:
if you´ve got a backup of the 3.55 nocheck (lv1) bios, patch it with nor patcher and then start the ps3 in flash fun mode with the e3 flasher. after flashing, try to start the ps3 again and see if it works. otherwise try flashing the 4.0 bios (patched) and see if it starts then( it will boot on the connect controller screen, turn it off then)

Getting same beeps and blinking red light,

tried with e3 flasher plugged in, have

1. with solder the sbe - tristate ,flash fun mode(have 3.55cfw backup , nor patched)
2. with only e3 without solder

every time i press power button, all lights on e3 come up nicely,.... immediately after few seconds it beeps thrice and shuts down blinking red light.

only time the ps3 stays powered up on for some moments longer than usual say for 30 -50 seconds is when i don't place the hard drive in the e3 sata station, then again it shut down with same beeps and blinking red light.

I have the same situation.
When i flash my original 4.0 backup. Then power on, it beeps 3 times and power off.

If i patch it with norpatcher "recovery screen" comes and i can't get out with the hex files tried a lot but no way out, and when i plug in controller and try to load 4.0 pup it says "data corrupt" (8002f157 error).

I also tried to flash 3.55 rogero v2 original backup "recovery screen" again. Then flashed it patched 3.55 again " recovery screen". And usb dongles doesnt work here too. when i try to update via usb stick here, i again get the error 8002f157.

I tried the 4.0 swap backups too. The same result. By the way hdds are formatted now so i think i have to go througt the recovery menu and install 4.0. But how? Getting tired of ****ing 8002f157 error. Please help.

@xoda thank you for your message, i tried but didnt work out.
