Hi everyone !

I've been reading this forum for two years or so and finally made my first thread Hurray !

Anyway, I lent my PS3 to some friend who returned it to me recently.
Looks like he tried to jailbreak it.

I'm running a PS3 slim 120 go (if i'm correct), with 3.66 system
I've read everywhere that PS3 running 3.66 CAN'T be jailbroken (without a hardware flash that is). Ok...

Still, I see I have Multiman and Redbug selector installed,along with comgenie awesome file manager, something for FTP file transfer and finally SNES9X.

I had a system error while trying to launch trophies-compatible games,but fixed it by re installing both BDEMU an Multiman (i didnt even know what these things were until 48hrs ago).

Ok games run correctly know.

What surprises me is that multiman seems to work (while browsing multiman pref, it says it is 3.55 whatnot version)... and SNES9X too, I've played chrono trigger today on my PS3 . So homebrews seem to work right ?

I don't have any PS3 ISO game to try loading it tough, or an external hard drive to try backing up one of my original blu ray games.

So, I don't really know what to think... hombrews seem to work (SNES9X ?), multiman seem to work too (well at least it launches itself), but my PS3 is running 3.66...

- What do you guys think of it ?


- One last question: there was an option to scan for multimedia servers in the XMB under the video tab (basically i would stream movies on the PS3 from my computer).... now it's gone... any info about it ?

your ps3 is on 3.55 but is spoofed to 3.66 ,nothink unnormal . its like most cfw people has got it spoofed so they ps3 wont update from 3.55 , i got my kids ps3 spoofed to 9.99

Dont you know wich fw version your ps3 had before lending it? If he installed a CFW on it he probably also installed a spoofer (thats why it says its 3.66) but dont know why he would install a 3.66 version spoofer instead of a 3.72/ 4.0 version

ho that's sweet thanks for your quick answer ! I might try a few things then...

Does the missing "scan for multimedia servers " option is related to jailbreaking that PS3?
I can't seem to find that option anymore... nor in the network preferences... I'm not connected to internet so far (enabled on the system, but no details for connections filed). Maybe it is required to do so ?

I absolutely don't remember what version it was back then, sorry. It was like...mmm over a year ago...

However I think I can tell you why he put a 3.66 spoofer and not a newer one. because he stopped playing with it a while ago
