I sucessfully downgraded my ps3 from 3.7 to 3.55 (KMEAW No Check) using progskeet and ti-84plus.

But then I wanted to install rebug CFW so I tried to install OFW 3.55, but my PS3 bricked.

Already tried going service mode and recovery mode without sucess

What can I do to unbrick it?

1. You cannot use OFW. The lv1 checks are in place, they have to be disabled for a FW to work on a downgraded console.

2. You do not need to go to OFW to go to Rebug CFW, but you would need to disable the lv1 checks on the Rebug CFW.

3. From what I understand, you are SOL unless you have a bios dump of your PS3.

Can't I use progskeet again to dump once again and flash the nor?

You don't need another dump, use the dump you took before you downgraded. It's because you haven't got the lv1 patches (that bypass the check to see if you're on the right FW) you're bricked, the PS3's bricking because those lv1 checks are failing.

What I'd do is: flash back the original dump (3.7x) and start over.

Is there any way to flash the 3.7x dump like from other ps3? I don't have the dumps I used for the downgrade :S

I think there is no way since the dumps contain some per-console parts, if you don't have original dumps you are out of luck, only thing you can do is have a nice paperweight or sell it for pieces (like HDD, Blu ray drive).
Someone should sticky this or something, so other users have warning, there are way too many bricks due to people not doing backups.

do you have the downgrade.bin?
if you do flash this back to the console and start again

you should always keep a good bin for backup just for cases like this

people are warned enough it's just a matter of searching the forum tbh

dont get me wrong i have been on this site everyday since the jailbreak came out and probabley would of done the same good luck hope it works out its ashame come down to brick i always install ofw before goin to a another i will be more aware now after hearing this

Hi there people

After all the day trying to recover the ps3 from brick state without the "original" dumps i was able to unbrick my PS3...

I just dumped my fuc*ed up firmware (something like KMEAW no check / 3.55 OFW) and remodded it with the patches.

Re-Flashed it and my PS3 was UNBRICKED :D
