need help!! (full brick) error update 8002f157, not able install any firmware
hi all,
After an update, it doesn't boot back to xbm. It stucks! Every time I turn on ps3, it ask me to put a firmware 3.56 or above on an usb-drive and then press" start + select". So I downloaded the latest firmware (v4.00) then put it into usb-stick (root/PS3/UPDATE/). it starts to read the firmware from the usb-drive, after it done with reading, it begin search the firmware. after that, it saids press the "PS" button to continue. So I press it. unfortunately it stops and saids " The data are currupt. (8002f157)" in dutch. I've also tried different firmware, it gives same result. Things I already tried: Formatted the HDD with an usb converter All six options on recovery mode Different usb-memory different usb-port Is there are something else, I should try? I hope you guys can help me out. after some research on internet, there is not solution for this issue(full brick). the way might be able fix this is, using a progs keet or E3 flasher. but all this flashers are require fw 3.7 or 4.0 installed. But that is impossible to me. I hope there is still a way to do it. BTW it's a 250 GB slim and warranty has already expired. |

I don't see why a flasher wouldn't work with 3.56 installed.
If the normal downgrade method does not work, get a NOR dump from a 3.55 console, write the per-console data from your console dump to that dump, flash NOR. Should work just fine.

I think downgrade will do the trick. I just wondering if I can able recover the firmware and this ps3 works again. Can I remove this NAND/NOR flasher? So I can reuse again?
I think I go to pick up a progskeet. since the price of E3 flasher more expensiver than progskeet. any idea where to buy it? thx |

If you do the downgrade and the PS3 still won't turn on (when you press power the red light turns green and then turns off, leaving you with just a black screen) you need to install dospiedra's V2 downgrade patches on top of the 3.55 dump with your per-console data. That was how my experience with un-bricking went anyways. Edit: I eventually got rid of dospiedra's V2 patches by doing a QA downgrade. The only side-effect left is that I need SS patches to prevent the "You are not authorised to play blu-rays" message (I don't think this side-effect can be easily fixed until there is more public knowledge on decrypting and modifying per console data)

I just order a progskeet. My goal is, unbrick this ps3 than desolder all wire from ps3, so I can reuse this progskeet again on other console.
Before I getting start, I do have few noob questions: 1. How do I know which motherboard is on ps3, are there all "slim "version the same? 2.What if this NOR or Bios are already corrupted, is there still a chance to recover it? 3.How long should I use for the wire between the ps3 motherboard and the progskeet? (about 20cm?) 4. I need put the ps3 back together, so I could test it, right? will that problem hide all this wires? 5. Is there something, I must know before I begin? Can you please link me to right tutorial? from step by step unbrick this ps3. Downgrade the firmware is not importen to me. thx |
