Hello, this E3 flasher is a little STUPID and walking in the dark after 2 months!

No tutorial swap or more from TEAM!

So, i have fixed this BIG error! (say also FULL BRIK)

***IF YOU HAVE 3 BEEP BECAUSE YOU HAVE A BIOS WITH CHECK WRONG! EXAMPLE IN BIOS 3.55 AND SYSCON 4.0 = 3 BEEP, RESTORE YOUR REAL FW BIOS WITHOUT PATCH! AND READ THIS TUTORIAL***
Ok START:

When you start the ps3 what is the firmware request? 4.0? 3.73? 3.55?

Ok example is request the 4.0 YOU HAVE A BACKUP BIOS? if yes OK you have fixed your problem.

1)Take a HD and FORMAT from pc in fat32 done? ok
2)Take a pen drive and insert in PS3/UPDATE the PS3UPDAT.PUP 4.0 (if is request 4.0) done? ok
3)Take a TF card and insert the ORIGINAL (WITHOUT PATCH) backup bios 4.0!
4) insert TF card and flash your bios!

5) When finish your flash power off the ps3 (complete)
6) Retun in ps3 mode your E3 flasher!
7) Put HD in Esata and pen drive with .pup file in the usb ps3 and start your PS3, press start+select and next format the HD, install update and in 50% the ps3 have auto-reboot and press yes if restore a HD
8) setting data and another settings and ENJOY!

Run in FAT MODEL WITH SBE SOLDER

P.s. the problem is a patch, infact if the bios 4.0 have patch no check for the UPDATE.PUP is not possible take a code in the SYSCON and always loop error

A real lot of persons was having trouble with E3 exactly because of that.

And E3 lost a lot of people who liked them

I get the same error with Skyline. My fault was i formatted the hdds to ntfs. Now i formatted to fat32. No error on the update screen. But now it loops without errors.

It starts checking the update please wait...

Preparing to update.....Gets %100. Usb stick and hdd led flashes (means they work).

Then reboots....

Connect controller...

Same at the start. It loops like this forever.

When i get in to recovery menu and hit the 5. Restore PS3 System it says hdd cannot be accessed. Rebuild database says correct harddisk was not found. And it doesnt format my harddrive even it was formatted to ntfs via pc.

Any help please?

This tutorial is runned only 1 time and stop...now i have same problem and no run for fix this.....

i'm try more and more also with @slhsm for try 1 way.....

E3 flasher is a fake backup because is not restore your ps3 if brick....

Found method for run the 4.0 backup original without patch!

flash file + downgrade.bin in mode 100 001

I fixed my loop problem with this. And now ps3 formats the hdd. But 8002f157 goes on. Would appreciate any help.

Plug it into the pc, then open command prompt.

Type "diskpart"
Type "list disk" - get the disk number for the drive we are cleaning.
Type "select disk 1" - if the disk is not #1, change this accordingly.
Type "clean"
Type "create partition primary"
Type "select partition 1"
Type "active"
Type "assign"
Type "exit"
Type "exit"

have the same error 8002f157 has anyone got a fix for this,when i try to dual boot cfw back up it works ok when i switch to ofw back up i get the error,there must be a way to fix if no why make a tutorial for semi dual boot!

i dont know if there is a solution for this. i and Skyline have brick ps3s because of that. and now you are here. by the way can you boot to xmb on 3.55? if you can you are luckier than us, becaouse we cant boot anything. i have backups for original 4.0, 3.55 swap and 4.0 swap but none of them works now. two of my hdds are formatted and i cant install 4.0 pup.

you have used backup patched? if yes = brick is coming for your ps3

i have managed to unbrick with a modded 3.55 back up im now back to rogero,can anyone explain why this tutorial doesnt work with dual boot cfw and ofw thanks
