Crysis 1 Cheats/Mods

I was wondering if anybody had success making the PC cheats/mods work on PS3.
I've edited the system.cfg file but I don't get any results ingame...
Also I've located the difficulty files inside the gamedata.pak file, edited them and replaced them but once I boot the game I get a warning message that the gamedata is corrupt and i need to go back to XMB and delete my gamedata etc...

Please tell me if you have any ideas...

I have a site bookmarked on my laptop. I'll post back as soon as I get home. They hack all kinds of ps3 games with cheats.

Thanx but the cheats don't exist on PS3, I just try to do the same thing you do for the cheats on PC which should work if I do it correctly. It's just that I haven't found a way of doing it without PS3 telling me that the gamedata is corrupt...
My first guess is that PS3 checks for the filesize of gamedata.pak and after I have edited the files inside it the filesize changes so it prevents the game from loading...

Oh I see. Try the same method they used for crysis 2.

In Crysis 2 you just edit the system.cfg, which I have done it and it doesn't work as expected because in Crysis 1 you need to edit the difficulty .cfg's with the strings mentioned in order for the cheats/mods to work. In comparison to the PC version the files are packed in .pak files (zip files, you can simply open them with winrar).
If we could find a way for the game not recognizing the gamedata a corrupt, we could do some stuff that we haven't done on a PS3 game ever maybe!(Exceot Crysis 2 I think)
I saw that inside the game data you can find the optimization files for the PS3 which are ridiculusly easy to edit like Antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, HDR, detail level, shadows, reflections etc and we could make the game reach 60fps or force it having better graphic at cost of fps (I know what's the point playing with like 25fps so on a shooting game? Well just for fun)

That would be awesome if we can get it to work. I know for crysis 2 they created an auto.cfg with the files that needed for the cheats to work. But if we can get your method to work, would be great.

first of all, why do u need to cheat in a game?

second, if u change .cfg file , delete gamedata on ps3 and reinstall it, also it won't work with updates.

It's not all about cheating, they are actual mods. Also if someone wants to cheat its not a sin like all people in 21st century keep telling which starts to get insulting.

Crysis 1 is not a disc game, it doesn't check any disc if the file is matching so you understood wrong about the installation part, oh and there are no updates also, which makes me wonder if you actually read the tittle of the thread...!
