well you can always use recoevery mode to install a new cfw enven when a previous firmware is spoofed.

Hi all. Need help. I was on 3.55 kmeaw cfw and I tried to install rebug 3.55.2 but it did not work properly. The spoof works as I am now on 3.7.2. Unfortunately there is no package manager,I can't install pckgs and I cannot access my previous games. I loaded back 3.55ofw and tried reloading rebug but it gave an error at 69%. the same happened for kmeaw. What can and shoul I do to get back the cfw? Thanks

you must of installed the wrong firmware because rebug defo has package manager

Do you have the Debug options menu under the settings column from XMB? If so (and it's not from QA flag) then you should be on Rebug. With that in mind, you can't install the FW if your PS3 thinks it's on a higher FW version (i.e. 3.62 in your case). What you need is the Rebug Selector, which you can install from the HDD section of Package Manager. It should be located on your Game column, same as it previously was...

If you DON'T have the debug menu, then you don't have Rebug, you have OFW.

Thanks both. It seems that i don't have rebug. i loaded a 3.55OFW (which i am pretty certain of it) as I could flash in the 3.55ofw through recovery mode and xmb.
but it still states 3.72. Is it possible to load a lower ofw when its in a higher version ofw?

Anyways, how can i check if its a 3.72 spoof or its the HDD just "thinking" its a 3.72, but its actually a 3.55.

Ultimately, any ideas how i can "downgrade" the 3.72 back to the 3.55 and then install cfw? Thanks

if it is spoofed you can install a 3.55 over it via recovery menu. if its 3.72 ofw then you will need a hardware flasher such as progskeet.
