As zebular stated, the developers site (as-team.ir) can be loosely translated and a lot of information can be gleamed from this. The thread "Talk about Aria Persian Manager" was created in the beginning of December and was obviously know of before then. The forum does seem legit and there are a few releases on the site for PS3 (AS-PCE PC emulator for example) which indeed seem legit. I will try said emulator once I get to my PS3, and I understand that this will not prove that the 3.73 CFW exists, but will surely go a long way to prove that they are serious PS3 developers at least. In the (badly translated) forums, AS-Team seem to have a good reputation, and dont seem to be a fly-by-night cowboy hoax team. Although I'm far from convinced, I think they deserve a little time to produce a solid P.O.C video.

Thats like saying don't trust anything a german makes because its secretly funding some neo nazi group. Chill, I'm sure its just more people that love the idea of making the ps3 capable of doing whatever it can without restrictions... besides, even if someone did create something with tons of spyware or like remote admin stuff it wouldn't do a whole lot of good seeing as how 80% of the ppl with a hacked ps3 don't have it connected to the net and it would be really easy to see if it was calling out to some random ip via your router.
