If there is one thing I have learned in all my life is that if you ask nicely you will achieve greatness from great people. So I won’t bull anyone here when I say that I am a disabled gamer. Don’t want pity don’t need sympathy just looking to make life a little easier on me. You see I have two play stations:

The PS3 FAT MODEL # CECHL01 Firmware 3.70
and
PS3 Slim MODEL # CECH-3001A Firmware 3.72

I don’t mean to ask a stupid noob question and I am sure all the info is here on the forum but what I am asking is to be pointed in the right directions. With and affective way to jailbreak, modify, or soft-mod each system, So that I don’t screw up anyone of them. And if its even possible for either one? I love my PS3’s but they are taking a physical toll on me. I am just looking for an easier way to back up my originals so that I don’t have to transfer from wheelchair to couch every time I need to change a game. It is a major strain on my back and a burden to anyone I ask. I thank any one in advance for the help please hear my cry.

You should update your CECH3001A to 4.0 and enjoy PSN (and maybe Kakaratos future jailbreak) because there's nothing you can do with it regarding downgrading.

The fat model, you can get a hardware downgrader which you clip onto the motherboard of the PS3 and you can downgrade it to 3.55 and play backups from internal hard drive. You're missing one letter from it's model number, it should look like CECHX01 and then we could tell you which clip you'll need.

you are out of luck my friend,you can not jailbreak,modify, or soft-mod consoles past 3.55 OFW

Between the 2 PS3's you have, the one that can be downgraded would be the " PS3 FAT MODEL # CECH01 Firmware 3.70."

I would suggest a hardware flasher such as a E3 Flasher.

You have a NOR model (as opposed to NAND).. Progskeet is the best downgrader (otherwise there is E3) but you need to get the NOR clip to save yourself soldering on a load of wires.

your ps3 systems can not be jailbroken unless they are downgraded to at least 3.55,but the downgrade process is risky business and you are risking potential brik on your system and since you are noob to all this as it says in the tread title you better do not attempt to do anything,just saying
