**** yes. I ended up buying a Slim PS3 for my brother for Christmas which ended up on CFW, but it looks like I'm gonna have to convince him to let me install one of those on it (and maybe slightly possibly hijack it a little, so much for a gift... although I'm sure he'd love it too) and finally be able to play Skyrim.
At least I'm not tempted to buy a TB anymore at all now <3

He meant for 256MB NAND models, since for now E3 flasher only supports 16MB NOR ones.

Yes but afaik thats only for the NOR flash PS3's whereas mine is one of the much older NAND flash PS3's, the chips are different but i'm not entirely sure of the specifics sadly
