I red your thread an it seems you are 3 or 4 having this problem. And the given method to fix your problem is EXACTLY the official E3 method. I think your problem is just you've made bad dumps of your nor. In many cases, the problem is caused by a bad fixation of the clip.

Another question : you say you have to buy a dongle to try to unbrick. But shouldn't you already have one dongle to proceed downgrade?

if you want to dual boot and use e3 flasher on different consoles try bartez82's guide for solderless dual boot. and update the e3 flasher with samsung firmware. I have two ps3's with macronix bios, but the samsung firmware succesfully backups and flashes on macronix too and it also lets you to use on multipl consoles. It worked flawlessly with me.

I flashed several ps3's with 1 flasher.. the latest one I flashed with this methode and is worked a lot quicker! (also the samsung updater got me able to make a backup..)

If you did everything right.. you could unbrick with the backup you made.. the error you have isnt that hard to recover from.. you just have to know what you are doing..!

ok guys please stop argueging. if you want the method with soldering you use this method. If you dont want to solder use bartez82's guide. Simple solution.

You dont need to solder with this methode..!! you just have to do it right..!!

Edit: edit your quote..! correct.. i use it on multiple consoles.. no need to solder.. and update for samsung chip!

Need help:
Install (tut tutorial) 3.70 spoof, rogero and install multiman. all pkg and including BDEMU2 intstall.
Have problem, when starts multiman, show me i text _ BDMU emulation failed, i try many time reinstal all pkg no luck. Wath you say?

Use the Samsung updater to update E3.. You will find a link somewhere in the topic here..! i post it also!

Then you will be able to make a backup..!

Thank you.. thommy86. I did it and worked. I have another problem though!!!
I forgot to solder the tristate cable (!@#$@#$$@#$@) and i flashed the patched bios in fun mode, but after i turned on the PS3 i got a green light and then after 1-2 sec all lights are off and power down!!!! Now every time I power on the same thing happens, green light, and then all lights off, power down.

I killed it??? Can I get it running again?
