Geez...you can spin anything anyway you way you want I guess. You do know that the same news broadcast showed the guy's entire speech in it's entirety when Ron Paul brought him on stage don't you? They didn't have to do that. And it was better for him to be seen on that stage than behind it. I guess you would have rather watch Fox news which has known racist analysts such as Glenn Beck(no longer) and Bill O'Reilly. You need to understand that each and every news source around the world has their own agenda. You have to gather information on your own and not depend on a television. Also just because these countries are struggling doesn't mean Americans are as stupid as you think they are. We realize there has been conflict in the middle east for 4,000 years or so. Whatever I am going to say is not intended towards every American...

Americans are brain washed. The government and the media have washed the people what is suppose to be "their side" of the story. They are constantly telling us that America is the good guy, and our enemies are the bad ones. I can assure, they are wrong. The government, with the help of the media, has filtered out many things, which if you heard and saw, you will not even spit on a country like America.

Did you know 1/3 of the deaths of American soldiers come from suicides or them completely breaking apart? Did you know why? Its because of what they have seen. American government has told these soldiers to kill innocents, and no matter how much they tell you in video games that "don't kill the innocents", it will NEVER apply to the real world. If you search for videos of soldiers admitting to doing things they would have never done, you will find a hand full of these videos. All of them talking against America.

On the topic of Israel, there is nothing to say but that US heavily depends on them and vice versa.

Remember, when one person dies in America, or any other western country, that person is remembered by millions of Americans and that one person is on the news. But when MILLIONS of people die in another country, they are just a statistic. Did you ever take the time to remember innocent people dying everyday because they got caught in way between two countries? Probably no.

This is because they are just a statistic, a number.

I know all too well the horrors of war. My father and brothers are both marines. I'm not a big fan of the military, I played college football to opt out. I live next to a military base. I've studied just about every war in the history of world from the dawn of man to current day. I've studied every civilization that's controlled the world and has been controlled by the world. History is written by winners. We know that. We also know power is corrupt and at the same time it's not easy being on top because every body on the bottom is trying to knock you off from the top. On the news I see BOTH Israelis and Palestinians dying. Yeah, believe it or not we see that. I'm sure I've seen a lot of things that you would never imagine I have. I know that Israel depends on the US far more than the US depends on them. Mostly I just want to scream "STOP ****ING KILLING EACH OTHER!!!". I guess it's not that easy though. I know there was a time when America was the good guys like during WWII. I also know that George Bush changed all that. I also know hate and contempt doesn't help anything. Another thing that might surprise you is that most Americans know all this. Sometimes I wish we would just stay out the situation completely and let them fight it out if that's what they really wanna do so they can't blame us anymore. I know innocent Iraqi babies are killed by bombs in wars and I know innocent people die in buildings when you slam an airplane into them. From a birds eyes view this thread looks like a "Hate America" propaganda thread just like all the others I have read on here because it's not like this is spreading awareness because everybody already knows this. I know I don't have time in my life or room in my heart for the hate. I have muslim friends from and in Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, and Serbia. I also have Jewish friends from and in Israel. I talk to all these people on a daily basis. I don't hate anybody and neither do they. It's not the people, it's the powers. The people only become a statistic when you let them.

You may be talking for your self, and a couple of others, but not for everyone. Sad to say, I'm pretty sure over 2/3 of Americans are not aware of what is really going on outside America.

Let's say for arguments sake that you're right. Let's say our news programs aren't in a political race right now and doesn't show us statistics or the conflict from each side everyday. Does that make these people wrong or does that make it their fault? If a man straps a bomb in his underwear and blows up a nightclub up in Pakistan, or if Israel fires mortars into the West Bank does that make it my neighbors fault who is none the wiser? Does that mean he wishes that on them? Does that not make the gunmen responsible? I highly doubt American soldiers are responsible for every death that happens over there. And yes, our news sources do point out the number of military suicides. I also highly doubt that because somebody doesn't know means that they're brainwashed. Most people here are disenchanted with the government and don't believe anything that they hear.
