[QUOTE=pereb27;312248]QA downgrade DOES NOT downgrade the syscon.
However it is correct that you don't have to stay on the E3 CFW, any CFW WITH check-off will work. E3 team's english is just not good enough to explain that.

not sure about u say : don't know exactly the state is syscon after qa downgrade . But I can install any CFW AND OFW and it work perfectly. Lot of motherboard tested . Even play with 3.41. The fact to QA downdrade do something somewhere in other place of NOR !

( sorry bad english )

AFAIK only 3.55 has the hash checks, 3.50 and lower do not.
That said if you do have a downgraded machine running 3.55 (and not lower) OFW, I'll eat my words :P

nobody is forcing anyone to buy this I believe.

What's the new ps3 slim model that can't be downgraded again using this?

CECH-30xxB can't be downgraded right?

But it's all good, cos next console I will be getting will be anything but a $ony console!

You want to talk about a scene centered around money just look at the 360 scene, go to any modchip like site and they have so many damb products you need to mod a 360 it is sickening, for the PS3 all you really need is a PS3 on a FW of 3.55 or lower. As far as I am concerned there is nothing wrong with making money off of a product you have developed, spent time coding, spent time AND money on R&D and have eventually brought to market. Everyone out there that constantly expects things for nothing start by leading by example and giving you time to your employer for FREE, I'm sure they will appreciate it, and at the same time you will be doing what you are asking others to do. GROW A SET AND HAVE THE COURAGE OF YOUR CONVICTIONS!!

1.) The 360 scene is a pirates haven, you flash a drive, burn a disc, game done, all it cost was the price of a disc
2.) With the PS3 scene, in order to play games 3.56 and above, you need to buy a DRM device, which costs money, there are no free options like the 360 has to play any of the recent games.
3.) This quote is a prime example of you not having a damn clue....

The dongles in the PS3 scene, that enable you to play 3.56+ games, use STOLEN eBoots, that's STOLEN, meaning NOT the device developers work, meaning SOMEONE ELSE has put in hard work and time coding, EVERYTHING @bigo93 said is correct and true, however everything you said is false.

Then damn that person who isn't releasing those stolen eboots. His "hard work" went to his own pleasure and needs. At least he could have sold us the solution if he wasn't willing to give the eboots.

It is a total game crusher bug...it makes the game unstable, but worse, it eventually makes it go so slow it is completely unplayable (less than 1FPS). The game is so big it is essentially guaranteed to happen. They have been promising to fix the same bug on the PS3 version of fallout 3 since october 2008...thankfully the bug only hurt fallout 3 if you did everything...if you speed through the game doing only main storyline quests it wasn't an issue. The issue also exists in Fallout New Vegas PS3, again...unpatched.

It is an engine-level bug and they don't own the engine, so they are really quite stuck in options to fix it. The bug does not exist on the 360 or PC versions because the 360 can take memory away from the video quality to make up the difference (to a point...I wouldn't be surprised to see this bug hit people who did every last quest on 360), and the PC simply has more memory.

Honestly...this is a PC game. It plays OK with the graphics turned down to crap on the 360 and it doesn't play OK no matter what you do on the PS3...and it looks and plays wonderfully on a PC. It works with the DS3 or the 360 controller on PC as well...so if you are just avoiding the PC version because the controls are better, don't worry...you can have crummy console controls. If you are not playing the PC version for lack of cash, then spend the ~400 hours of play time doing something productive so you can buy a half-decent PC.

still only works on 1 type of board you still need to cut a trace and still have to solder

2012-01-05 E3 flasher upgrade file download, support fast dual boot. Please note if your console can't dual boot, don't upgrade this firmware.

still not worth the money
