You're absolutely right. Everyone, at the end of the day wants peace.

Sadly, the issue is not that simple as to "forgive and forget" because at one point jews and palestinians actually lived harmoniously amongst one another, with seperate religions and all. The issue stems from the establishment of israel (1948, Balfour Declaration) literally ON TOP of an already established and otherwise prosperous Palestine. The Palestinians let it happen, what could they do?
This region was also inhabited by MANY different semites, not just Palestinians but Lebanese, Jordanians etc..
(Which by the way: Jews are of Khazar ancestry and even before THAT jews date back to the Ashkenazi, whom came from what is NOW known as Germany/Poland region of the world.

All I hear is the word people instead of government. That's where the problem started I think. I mean, I know it's wrong to equate terrorists with Arabs, Persians, or Muslims. But it seems perfectly okay to equate American people with the government and likewise with the Jews or Palestinians. I know before 9/11 Americans didn't know that much about muslims whatsoever. What do you think they thought of them immediately after? We turned on the news and seen people dancing in the streets of so many different countries when that happened...the minute it happened. At first nobody knew the difference between a muslim and terrorist at all because of that. The only time since then that Americans danced in the street since then was when Bin Laden was killed. That's because they had been misrepresented. It's taken the most part of the last ten years to educate and for them to know the difference. The way a lot of these posts are sounding is very hypocritical. It seems to me the best way to stop the process is for all of us to represent our people in a better way and stop spreading the hate and ignorance. I think I made a very good point in my first post that CNN still showed the soldiers speech in it's entirety when Ron Paul brought him on stage BEFORE anybody made a fuss about him being cut off. Instead, people want to forget about that part and try to make others forger by spinning it like has been. To me screaming "look at what CNN did that means Americans hate us" is a total distortion and misrepresentation of the truth and only further spreads hate and fuels the fire. It also seems like you don't miss any chance to do that. I don't get it.

Well first, the we (the US) went to Iraq for WMD that didn't exist so everyone naturally assumed we were there for the oil, as stated in a post above, but where is the oil?? I do not see us swimming in it and our gas prices have steadily increased, futher crippling and destabilizing our economy. I realize we do not pay the gas prices as most countries, but it is headed that direction because as soon as the US dollar is not recognized as the primary trading currency due to its devaluation, which seems to be on the way, our economy has no chance. Now think back to Iraq prior to the invasion for WMD, oil, Halliburton no compete contracts, whatever. Saddam Hussein was manuevering to recognize the Euro as the primary trading currency. This and the idiot puppet president at the time was trying to finish daddy's work to get some respect from his father that he never had and never deserved.

Ron Paul, in my opinion, is the ONLY candidate that can fix this country. He is gaining momentum, but to be honest he won't be elected. The country hasn't woken up enough to recognize the need and even when we do, it will be a battle because those who have been controlling things for so long won't go easily. While the beginning of a revolution is at hand, it is only in it's infantcy, but years from now Ron Paul will be looked at as a founding father of this taking back of our republic.
