it being a joke has nothing to do with the controller, it has every thing to do with the hardware its is just barely better then what we have now when the new playstation and xbox come out the wii-u will have nothing on them it will end up just like the wii and outdated system for its gen

I much prefer playing games on the Wii with friends round then I ever have on my PS3, so the Wii wins hands down for me.

PS3 and XBOX360 may have better spec, but they both lose big style on fun

10 years a average lifespan of a unit, so about 3 years left till you see the next ps4 with perhaps backwards compatibility and multimedia card slots. i heard that the xbox 720 is resurrecting HD DVD format again LOL,

do you think they will still be running games off disc?

it sold the most because nintendo deliberately under stocked stores so when they had them instock people would buy them thinking hey i got a wii these things are hard to find they must be awesome(if people knew then what they know now the wii would not have sold much). every one i talk to(in real life and on the internet) that have a wii never use it(mine is only used for netflix in the bedroom). as for a console thats fun to play with your friends the 360 with the kinect ****s on he wii(kinect adventures is the most fun i have had playing a game wile drunk) even the move is fun with friends(sony just doesnt support it well). i think the wiimote is a good idea but it should not be needed for every game it works well in some not all games(same with the kinect and the move). the only good wii games are the ones nintendo makes. yes i understand there are nintendo fanboys(being a fanboy is retarded) that will defend the wii with their dieing breath but the truth hurts. me i like to remember what nintendo use to be nto what they have become(same with sony)

im no nintendo fanboy but kids/parents/grandparents round here are all willing to play the wii and all enjoy it, but then again none are serious gamers

You seem to forget that not everyone has the same tastes.
I was considering buying a 360 instead of a second PS3 for newer games, then I realized there are more 3.60+ PS3 exclusives I'm interested in than 360 exclusives I'm interested in from the whole library. So yeah, because YOU like the 360 games more don't mean everyone does :P

As for the specs of the consoles, I'd say there are similar enough, but devs don't exploit the PS3 to its full potential because it's harder to code on. As a result, most multiplatforms have better graphics and perform better overall on the 360.
