well if you have yellow light of death then nothing you can do, buy another ps3 or reball your ylod

no i get YLOD before and fix it by re flashing my backup for v4.0
now i'm in 3.42 without back up

I really think you have the ylod period, you cant fix an yold with flashing Nor, its hardware RSX chip error for disconnect of solder points. Unless your mistaken it for to be something else. If you brick on 3.55 flashing 4.0 wont do anything.

and if i set e3 flash to ps3 mode i get ylod
error is the e3 flasher can't flash the bios with my back up for v4 or any back up

can i do it manual by connect usb to my PC

i connet between usb with e3 flasher and
13456 up
and 2 down

then my pc show me new usb device kernelboot just 16 MB
then i copy my backup inside this drive then turn off and set all 6 down
the ylod gone but blackscreen .

Ok look when you set ps3 to Fun mode your disabling all function of normal boot on ps3 therefor allowing you to flash dump only. That means even if you remove the RSX chip ps3 will still turn on with Fun Mode switch on!

So if you get a yellow light and then flashing red well your screwed

I am not sure about that as I never had that issue or heard of it, but if I was in your shoes I would try to flash downgrade.bin and start the downgrade again for that point. Unless if your ps3 is actually on 3.41/3.42/3.55 then you can just insert JB dongle and do the power and eject sequence to enter factory service mode and reinstall 3.55 Rogero lv2 CFW. But I would format the HDD first.


OR Format HDD and enter Recovery Menu and install CFW Regero Lv2 Patch from E3 to 3.55 sense you said you were on 3.42

For clarification purpose:

Pro.Hacks guide will work like 99% in case you have a WORKING BIOS BACKUP OF YOUR OWN PS3! My problem is a fukked up BIOS dump, so no chance to get it working again. Always tripple-backup your BIOS and check them with the NOR checker.
