Do you have the latest multiMAN version installed? (check first post) Did you made the two partitions primary and not one primary and the other logical?
Do your games folder follow these folder structure:

USB DRIVE:/GAMES/GAME FOLDER NAME or ID/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/EBOOT.BIN

if you have something like ths:

USB DRIVE://GAMES/GAME FOLDER NAME or ID/Another Folder/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/EBOOT.BIN

then you have a folder too many, the one in red, delete it

Make sure the games are on the FAT32 partition and not on the NTFS one and press Refresh on the multiMAN column on the XMMB
Also, make sure that after the Video column on the XMMB you have a Game column, if it says something else press until Game is selected as the name for that column

You only need to edit the USB.CFG file if you plan to use the NTFS partition with multiMAN (the NTFS partition can only be used to copy from USB DRIVE to internal HDD)

I'm new in the forum and just bought my first external hd too. It's a Hitachi Lifestudio desk 2 TB, which I've formated to FAT32 with "FAT32 Format" program.
The problem is:
the ps3 recognise it and I can open photos, videos, etc. multiMAN does too, but it doesn't display the games!
In multiMAN it appears as dev_usb081. I've tried to edit the option.ini like this:
# Secondary search folders:
hdd_home2=/dev_hdd0/GAMEZ
hdd_home3=/dev_hdd0/game/OMAN46756/GAMEZ
hdd_home4=/dev_hdd0/game/LAUN12345/GAMEZ
hdd_home5=/dev_hdd0/BDRIPS
hdd_home3=/dev_usb081/GAMES
hdd_home4=/dev_usb081/GAMEZ
hdd_home5=/dev_usb071/GAMES
usb_home2=/GAMEZ
usb_home3=/BDRIPS
usb_home4=/_SKIP_
#usb_home5=/_skip_

but it still doesn't work!
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME. I fell like I have thrown money away buying this HD and that's awful ¬¬

Thank you and sorry for any grammar mistakes. English is not my native language :P
Is this the HD with the usb key attached on the front? If so i have one of those only a 1TB but ill try it out and see if i have any problems.

sorts the games by genre, if you dont have Game selected as the name of that column but something else like Adventure, for example, only the games that you have set the genre as Advanture will show up. Make sure that after the Video column on the XMMB you have a Game column, if it says something else press until Game is selected as the name for that column

Also, is this a new problem, did you had your games working from external before? From your previous post i believed that that was the case thats why i didnt told you to check if you had the correct folder structure, the correct folder structure for your games from external should be:

USB DRIVE:/GAMES/GAME FOLDER NAME or ID/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/EBOOT.BIN

if you have something like this:

USB DRIVE://GAMES/GAME FOLDER NAME or ID/Another Folder/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/EBOOT.BIN

then you have a folder too many, the one in red, delete it

You can also try and delete the files options.ini, options.bin and options_default.ini from /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/USRDIR/ and then reinstall the latest version of multiMAN (available from first post)
