Hi!

I really tried to find info about flashing my PS3 but its all confusing, found info that it was possible but then read that it was a fake tutorial.

Seems like i need to buy some more stuff..

I got this Teensy 2.0 (ATMEGA32U4) with my PS3 when i bought it and the guy said that it should work to flash with but did not really now how.. and i dont know.. i updated my ps3 to 3.72 before i wanted to flash..

and now i dont know what i can do, can i downgrade with my Teensy 2.0 (ATMEGA32U4) or is this impossible? do i need to downgrade?

okey, why? whats the difference?
seems like i can't jailbreak my ps3 anyways since its got NAND and not NOR.

:/ wanted to get in to this scene since i flashed my 360 and PSP.. but the PS3 seems to be too hard.

EDIT: i checked this tutorial but it seems like i would have to solder my teensy onto the ps3 chip or something? http://www.ps3hax.net/2011/08/noob-t...-55-kmeaw-cfw/

so there is no way of downgrading the phat cechc PS3 on 3.72 ?

which means? im sorry but i'm completely new in the ps3 hacking and i dont know anything.. is nand clip something i use or a way of doing something? got any good links? nand clip = soldering a teensy 2.0 to the ps3?


im appreciating all the answers though, dont get me wrong... i love the communities that grew around hacking consoles!

well for a start the 2.0++ verson has got more points than the 2.0 version and u have to have like 40 wires from the teensy ++ to your ps3 and well the normal 2.00 version hasnt got anuff points for the wires . also if u look at the tutrail link u gave u see it says the teensy ++ .

the difference is the one on the left does not have enough I/O solder points to work (notice the size of both of them, the one on the right you will need to solder to literally 98% of all of those points).

and yes you are correct, if you have a NAND, you will not be able to flash with a teensy, atleast not yet since no one has developed flashing software for NANDs with a teensy.

it involves using the progskeet though, so you're teensy is sort of useless in regards to flashing, but you could use it for another step of the downgrading process, and that is to use it as the service dongle to get into service mode.

but if i were you i would wait until progskeet officially releases their NAND clips instead of using 360-clips one. they should look like this: http://yfrog.com/esf1qoj
