It's very simple to do. As far as I know, you NEED to burn the ISO to a disc. There may be some re-direction later, but for now, burn it to a CD. Put the CD in your PS3. Now fire up MultiMan and go to the file manager. Browse to dev_flash / ps1emu / ps1_emu[dot]elf (or something like that). Run the ps1_emu[dot]elf file. If will fire up the PS1 emulator that will boot the burned game in the drive. Done.

There is one drawback as boltocrank pointed out, there is no saving.

I can understand you mixing up PS2 and PS1, but the part about saving is way outdated. Saving works with the latest multMAN.

OP: If your PS3 isn't a backwards compatible model, I'd recommend just picking up a real PS2. Here's a list that will tell you whether your model is bc or not.

If it is, your best option right now is Cobra USB. With it, you can play your PS2 games straight from an HDD. The downside is, it's a DRM dongle and you have to pay for it, but if you don't really care about either of those points, it gets the job done.

If you read that thread, it doesn't work on all ps3's. The only way I know of to play ps2 games on a ps3 is with the cobra dongle.

EDIT - Unless of course you have a backwards compatible ps3. Or if you enter service mode with a slim on OFW 3.72, and make sure to have e3 flasher or progskeet hooked before you do or you will be stuck.

Tried both with a Slim and Fat non-BC and it didn't work, I think it was confirmed as faulse alarm, only 2.55 OFW in Service Mode had such function.
