Heya every1.

It all started months ago when i was playing skyrim, n as all ps3 users playing skyrim the lagg striked my file. As i played more n more, the file became bigger n the lagg stronger. anyways its the typical skirym-ps3 issue.

The problem is that once i got sick of skirym crashing n lagging i wanted to play some dead island... n surprise! it lagged as well. tried changing to killzone n WASAAA! theres the lagg... So i try n use all the options in the ps3 recovery (erased everything in my ps3 D= ) n still the lagg persists, even in the ps3 menu.

So now i remove the HDD n format it via a pc. hoping this would work i plug it in again n nothing.

Now i dont know what to do. i suppose i gotta buy a new HDD but idunno.

ANY help would be apreciated. Thnx b4 hand.

The reason for this lag is that the ps3 doesn't have enough RAM to support skyrim. Unlike the xbox360, it has no lag because there's more RAM.... The only way to fix this is to have the game developers release one that runs on lower RAM capabilities.

are you playing the other games from the HDD? or from blu ray?

The x360 does have problems with skyrim, screen tearing, also lag, just not as much..... Its bethesda's fault, not the ps3's.......

Also, to the OP, the same question as pockets, coz it really looks like a bad hdd, specially after you did the erase and restore options

He knows about skyrim problem with ps3 ... dont you see ?? he is asking because all of his games are starting to lag

If you did a PC format of the hard disk and the problems persist, then the problem is probably the hard disk, but it is also entirely possible that something else is wrong...Skyrim takes a terrible toll on the ram, and the ram cooling in the PS3 is crap.

@op, did you format the hdd to fat32, not ntfs, and like pockets69 says, are you playing the games from bluray or the hdd, if you are playing from the hdd, then mostly it's a bad hdd? if not, it may be that your ram or even cpu has some heat isseus, i don't think it's a psu fault, giving you lower volt/amp that would bug/lag your pc, if the ps3 is stil in warrenty then you may want to return to get a new one if it's not try to reflow, or if you don't have the proper tools/skill, do just like i did, open the ps3 every 2 months and take an air presure pistol to blow all the dust out.
