Well the point in this situation is that we are not sure which is the correct way — yet.

The parody is only in your head, VIRGIN KLM. Many people work on this in their spare time, and it is really discouraging to read on forums that people don’t believe them. This is a process of reverse engineering and also some development, not an issue of rhetorics and social media.

Not necessarily, i would assume it lv1 redirects to OtherOS instead of loading up GameOS. But really thats just a big assumption I have no clue how it works. Seriously doubt this has anything to do with bootldr though, PUPs dont house bootldr, you can't put a modified bootldr in a firmware update and expect it to work on anyones ps3 but your own since all bootldr's are encrypted uniquely per console.
