Progskeet NAND Soldering.

Hello. I have a Progskeet 1.1 and a CECHA01. I've been trying to solder the wires (old IDE cable) to the NAND for a few weeks now. I can't seem to do it right. I really don't want to go solderless. Can someone give me some tips? I've tried everything.

I'm using no clean paste flux, 40/60 .025 solder, and 28-30 AWG wire.

did you clean the contacts witha lenline brush first?
it removes any lacquer that would prevent the solder from sticking

www.ck3.co.uk sell them amongst almost everywhere else online.

also "tinning" the wires first helps a lot

I cleaned it and tried tinning it first, but everytime i get one wire, when i try to solder the next one, i keep desoldering the other. Also bridging is a big problem.

what i tend to do when soldering is to hold the wire upright, touch the iron higher up the wire slightly so as to allow the solder to flow down onto the contact point and then fold the wire carefully into place.

also a very fine iron is beneficial. pen sized are better than the hand sized for fine work

I don't have a pen-sized iron.

if points are close together then i recommend getting one ASAP

i remember using a hand sized one on my wii drive (argon chip) and it was almost impossible with a normal one. the points were just too close together that the iron would instantly desolder the previous one
