Probably a male. Males have the "skin" above their beak/narines pink or white, (dont know the english name for this skin) and females have this skin brown/blue/darker. The pictures is a little overexposed...

Males have a tendency to be more colorfull too (to attract females)

I think its true, they sings a lot more than females. Who said these things to me was an breeder (my ethology teacher in the past). But like the colors, this is not a rule, its just a blueprint.

The only REAL way to know the genre is with a DNA test . Nice to see another brazilian here =] É de que lugar?

Yeah, I like the little dude a lot. Especially his colors, because they remind us of our two lost birds. I think the little guy is just shy overall, just getting adjusted to a big cage/penthouse lol

The thing is bro: We have a female who's "skin" there is lightish pinkish too, and she lays more eggs than you can imagine!
I'm PRAYING that he's a boy, because the girl is VERY excited lol
